Luvstuff Adds Bounce to Truth Be Told’s “In the Party”

Truth Be Told already have a stone-cold house thumper with their upcoming tune “In the Party,” so it’s a minor miracle that Luvstuff has been able to take the same track down a similar corridor to great effect. Beginning with a slightly mellowed-out high-end, this remix pulls back just a bit of the raw hardware feel of the original and replaces it with a deeper bounce.

While pushing Truth Be Told’s classic house style, Luvstuff infuses “In the Party” with a healthy dose of UK garage, tossing in a bit of bassline flavor for good measure. Both the original and the remix live under the same warehouse roof, and both manage to have an upbeat, body-moving atmosphere. But here, there’s enough of a shift to give the track a lift and a shuffle. Little nudges in pitch-shifting, rhythm change-ups, and sample flipping also go a long way to pull a new identity out of the cut. All in all, this is a solid addition to an already excellent track.
