Don’t get me wrong. We love celebrations as much as the next guy, and with the holidays swiftly approaching, you’d think that we’d be looking forward to the family parties, delicious treats, heartfelt gifts and Kahlúa hot chocolate. But when Insomniac announces that EDC Las Vegas tickets are going on sale on December 1 (at noon Pacific Time, to be exact, so set your calendar reminders), we say screw the mistletoe and show us the daisies.

This week, Insomniac is celebrating #TBT with three unique Headliners who shared their best memories from EDCs past. They were asked to send a photo that best describes their overall #EDCLV experience. Here’s what they had to share.

EDC Las Vegas: 2014

What’s going on in this picture?
This photo was taken at the beginning of Dash Berlin’s set at EDC Las Vegas 2014. After three days of meeting so many people and making so many memories, I felt like this moment was probably my greatest memory of them all.

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
With all the color and beauty captured in this picture, I wanted the world to see how pretty EDC really is. There is so much that you can see, from the gorgeous cathedral and amazing fireworks to the heart I made with my hands. To describe this picture is to say that it’s pure love.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC Las Vegas experience?
I was so happy in this moment. People always tell me that once you go to a festival, you change your outlook on life. I have gone to a total of eight EDCs, and each year it gets bigger and bigger, with so many new things to experience. EDC isn’t just a festival to me anymore—it’s home.

EDC Las Vegas: 2012

What’s going on in this picture?
This photo was taken on the first night of EDC Las Vegas 2012. Minutes before this, I had walked into the Speedway for my first-ever EDC. The lights reflecting off our shades makes it look like I photoshopped this picture, but this is simply what we were experiencing at that very moment—bright lights, great music, and good friends coming together to enjoy each other’s company.

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
This photo showcases new and old friendships. These girls made my first EDC experience absolutely amazing, and these sweet glasses were given to us by new friends to enjoy and wear during Sebastian Ingrosso’s set. I chose to share this picture because this night was the most memorable in comparison to all the other raves I’ve attended, including other EDCs.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC Las Vegas experience?
This is the one photo that takes me back to my first night ever attending EDC. It brings back all the amazing memories I’ve made at EDC Las Vegas over the years, and it reminds me of all the awesome people I met from all over the world. I made and shared kandi with complete strangers whom I still cherish to this day. That’s what EDC is all about: coming together with cherished friends and making new ones in the process.

EDC Las Vegas: 2012

What’s going on in this picture?
This picture was taken on the last day of EDC Las Vegas 2012. While we knew that the party was coming to an end, we also knew that our friendships—old and new—were growing at such a fast pace. Sharing in this experience brought us closer together as friends. This picture marks the day that EDC made us a family.

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
This picture shows an amazing group of friends, my family. We’re a group of people who care for each other, a family who would do anything for each other. This picture shows the people that I care about now and in the future.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC Las Vegas experience?
Nothing could have prepared me for the amount of love and respect that I gained from these individuals. Everyone has a story, but when you come to EDC and share that story with everyone else, when you have that feeling that you belong and that sense of security, it’s the most amazing feeling you can ever have. Being there with my family made this event 1,000 times better. EDC 2012 was the best EDC I’ve ever been to.
