Tom & Collins Serves Up Frisky Rework of “Your Body” [Free Download]

Face it: It’s the middle of the first week of the New Year, and you still have the back-to-work blahs. Know what will shake that off? Cowbell! Fortunately, the new remix of Germany’s Tom Novy’s 2005 club smash “Your Body,” by Mexico’s esteemed house duo Tom & Collins, has plenty of cowbell to spare. Also in the mix, festive horns swirl up and around spattered drum rolls, crowd noises, and an earworm hook that harkens to classic deep house sing-alongs: “I don’t want nobody, baby, but you. There’s something about your body that’s got me thinking of nobody but you…”

Tom & Collins have been coming up strong since forming in 2012, winning DJ Mag’s 2014 Miller Soundclash Wildcard category and signing to Universal Music’s Aftercluv Dance Lab subsidiary. “We don’t give a shit if you’re a hippie, a half-assed hipster, an atheist, a devoted Christian, wealthy, dirty, Catholic, homeless, Jewish, Buddhist, a smoker, a drinker, clean, or shy. We will not judge you,” is their stated manifesto. This mix, as well as their gigs at international marquee festivals like EDC, certainly live up to the “all in, we’re gonna win” party vibe that powers all things disco.
