KNOXA Tangle Infectious Talents With Songstress Georgia Ku on “Bang Bang”
The masses have been quickly latching on to KNOXA since the London-based three-piece stampeded out with a string of remixes for heavyweights Flux Pavilion, Netsky, Omi and a few others. Sam, Tom and Kes are more than ready to reach into their grab bag of genre influences—building off a foundation of jazz, hip-hop, house and rock and the ability to jam on 12 instruments between them—to make a footprint with their original productions.
The trio have enlisted the vocal prowess of Georgia Ku to bang out their debut single for Ultra Records. Ku weighs in with a stunning topline, as she coos over their radiantly jovial melody lines that are jumbled with spry piano phrases and buoying basslines. “Bang Bang” is a remarkable jumping-off point for the UK gents, one that will presumably be tailed by plenty more infectious grooves.
Here’s what KNOXA had to say in regard to their debut record:
Georgia flew out from Los Angeles, and this was one of the two tracks we recorded that day! We’ve been playing it out in the clubs and have been getting an amazing reaction. We wanted to make something that was very musical but also had a banging drop for the clubs. Georgia’s vocal captures you straight away, too, which is great. She’s also had a great reaction in America from her OWLSA team, so we’re all excited to get this out for the public to hear!
