Techno-heads, prepare your bodies: Seminal techno imprint Drumcode is taking over the Factory 93 warehouse in Downtown Los Angeles Saturday, May 20. Heading up the night is label boss Adam Beyer alongside Bart Skils, Dense & Pika, and Layton Giordani for a memorable night of deep and driving techno. Factory 93, our dedicated underground brand, is Insomniac’s home for all things house and techno and serves as the perfect canvas for Drumcode to paint its hypnotic rhythms.
Tickets for Factory 93 Presents Drumcode are available now.
For more than 20 years, Drumcode has remained one of techno’s most influential and reliable labels. With genre stalwart Adam Beyer at the helm, the label’s sound has retained an aesthetic all its own and has remained on the cutting edge of electronic music. Beyer originally created the label in 1996 as an outlet for his own work, and it has remained at the forefront of the genre throughout the years.
As a leader in Holland’s scene, Bart Skils has played a pivotal role in techno’s lasting presence in electronic music. Celebrated as one of the most forward-thinking producers in the genre, he has released groundbreaking work on Drumcode, Tonic, and 100% Pure, and he has lent his remixing skills for the likes of Adam Beyer and Nicole Moudaber.
Dense & Pika have been pushing their dancefloor-gripping beats since 2011, and their music has since become an indispensable factor in the sets of DJs worldwide. Most recently, they released their own thumping remix of Tiga’s classic cover of Public Enemy’s “Louder Than a Bomb.”
Layton Giordani truly represents the nu school in techno. Getting his first taste of techno at age 15, he quickly moved to make his musical obsession a career. By the time he was 23, he was DJing at New York’s most well-respected clubs and had scored his first big release, “Careless Suggestions” with Tony Rohr, which has received massive support from deadmau5 and Carl Cox and has been holding down a spot in Beatport’s Top 100 chart for over six months.
Factory 93 Presents Drumcode will unfold as a night of relentless beats and techno treats in our treasured warehouse space, an intimate environment dressed in minimal aesthetics and powered with immersive sound to allow each attendee a full audiovisual experience. This is the way Drumcode was meant to be experienced.
