This year, we pulled out all the stops for our third annual EDC Week Charity Auction, and you really came through for us again, Headliners. We’re proud to announce that we’ve raised more than $162,000 for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada, all thanks to YOU and your ongoing support and love. All the proceeds raised go toward the funding of 14 comprehensive art programs across the region to help thousands of children express their creativity and imagination in a safe and accepting place.
Presented by Insomniac Cares, Insomniac’s charitable giving initiative, this year’s community-focused efforts included the expansive EDC Week Charity Auction, in partnership with eBay for Charity, where thousands of Headliners bid on dozens of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. This year also saw the first-ever EDC Week Charity Sweepstakes—in partnership with Surreal, a newly launched fundraising platform that allows fans the opportunity to win unique prizes through affordable donations—where fans purchased entry tickets, starting at $5, for a chance to win artist-based experiences, passes to EDC Las Vegas 2017, and more.
“With each year of the EDC Week Charity Auction, I am so grateful for the outpouring of support we receive from our fans and the community,” said Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. “We partnered with Surreal for the first time to give everyone a fair shot at winning a special experience this year, and the response was incredible. Thank you to all who participated. Because of you, we raised our highest total yet for Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.”
In 2015, Insomniac launched the first-ever EDC Week Charity Auction, in partnership with eBay for Charity, our family of artists, and leading companies in Las Vegas. To date, we have raised more than $355,000 for local nonprofits, including Culture Shock Las Vegas, the Shade Tree, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Nevada.
