As long as P0gman is on the case, you know the earth-shattering wobbles are going to be on deck. The Wolverhampton-bred producer has been steady mobbin’ with some of the sickest dubstep bits the scene has ever seen, and his latest work is most definitely going to get heads fired up, regardless of the time or place.

“The Mummy” sees p0g punishing the speakers like they did him dirty. Snake-charming melodies are the only thing in sight at first, until the walls come crumbling down from the shrill, hard-hitting synth work that could easily cause the sacred catacombs of Egpyt to fold under its weight. It’s slammin’ from top to bottom, and it fits right in with the vision for Bassrush Records.

P0gman—who is coincidentally currently on vacay in Egypt, chilling out by the Red Sea—had a few words to share on his creation:

“The Mummy” track came about after I started messing about with some Egyptian samples, thinking it would be cool to base a track around it. I wanted the drop to just hit hard, being a big switch from the build, hence the heavy distortion. Heavy or not, I still wanted that p0gman flow and bounce, which I think I caught well for one of my heavier tracks. The sample before the drop added that nostalgic feel, as movie quotes and samples were a big part of making a “drop” a few years back. All in all, the track was just a fun process. Bassrush was the perfect home for “The Mummy,” as they represent pushing and progressing our scene as a whole, and this track was something fresh for me to push. The Bassrush movement is something I’ve always loved and am super happy to be a part of. Biggups to everyone involved.
