It’s pretty obvious the EDM community has grown immensely in recent years, and it continues to flourish in size. The amount of members it holds today is more than anyone can ever fully process. While you may not be able to meet every single EDM fan out there, there is one way to get involved in all the glory: Facebook.

Still, the online EDM community is a pretty big one, so we put together a nifty guide to help you learn about the group(s) you should join. Below is a list of Facebook groups that have been assembled by EDM lovers just like you, each group catering to all aspects of our beloved scene. Whether you’re a pro in the industry, an aspiring producer, or an underground house junkie, there is Facebook group that perfectly suits all your EDM needs. If you’re looking to find and share related content and connect with others from the dance music panorama, start here.

Insomniac Ravers: All Events

 

Members: 8,000+
Who should join: Every Headliner you know who loves attending all Insomniac events.
What type of content should you expect: Anything from new music, ticket sales, event announcements to pictures, videos and funny posts.
Things you should post: Related discussions, event meetups, private ticket sales.
What not to post: Event promotions, contests and self-promotions are not allowed.
Favorite post: This cheery, PLURful pup, who is actually a service dog to one of our Headliners! Isn’t she adorable?!

 

 

EDC Vegas Solo Journey

Members: 8,000+
Who should join: Anyone who’s going to EDC Las Vegas stag or third-wheeling with couple friends.
What type of content should you expect: Posts regarding organization and planning of EDC trips, especially those catering to solo journeys.
Things you should post: Posts about sharing hotel rooms or houses, scheduling rides to venues with other solo travelers, and event meetups.
What not to post: No self-promoting of clubs, guest lists or contests that do not have anything to do with EDC. No posts or comments regarding illegal drugs. No selling tickets for more than face value.
Favorite post: This one. Is it ever too early? Never!

 

 

Underground House Music

Members: 47,000+
Who should join: Caters solely to underground house music heads—fans, DJs and producers.
What type of content should you expect: Event flyers, new music, original tracks and videos.
Things you should post: Flyers, classic- to modern-style underground house music, DJ content, mixes, original productions, merch, gear and general discussions.
What not to post: No commercial or mainstream styles of music. No articles about Paris Hilton or Steve Aoki. No unrelated promo or discussions, including religion, politics or spirituality.
Favorite post: This tribute to the late American DJ and Loft creator David Mancuso. RIP.

 

 

Rave Memes & Videos

Members: 39,000+
Who should join: Anyone looking to share EDM-related pictures, memes and videos.
What type of content should you expect: Lots and lots of EDM memes and videos!
Things you should post: Electronic music or EDM-related content and memes, of course.
What not to post: Do not post harmful or hurtful content to other group members. Do not type in caps. Do not spam.
Favorite post: With all the controversy around the recent presidential election, one member shared a meme most of us can agree with. How’s that for an election?

Members: 18,000+ (closed group)
Who should join: People looking to buy or sell tickets safely.
What type of content should you expect: Ticket sales, ticket searches, and related pictures, videos, questions and discussions.
Things you should post: Ticket purchase inquiries, ticket sale offers, event/venue-related questions and discussions, and EDM content.
What not to post: No promotions, spam, hurtful posts, suspicious links, non-related articles, discussion of drugs or any other illegal activities.
Favorite post: This friendly member went so far as to call a venue to see what items were prohibited and then share the info with the rest of the group. There is plenty of PLUR exchanging here.

 

 

EDM Music

Members: 32,000+ (closed group)
Who should join: People looking to share and promote their tracks.
What type of content should you expect: Anything from original tracks and mixes to producer feedback/suggestions.
Things you should post: Personal tracks, mixes, new music, production questions.
What not to post: No porn or non-EDM-related content.
Favorite post: How could anyone miss this dope sketch of a track intro, captioned, “Me at school.” Not your average notebook doodles, huh?

 

 

EDM (Electronic Dance Music)

Members: 14,000+
Who should join: Fans and producers of EDM.
What type of content should you expect: Mainly shared music and event flyers.
Things you should post: Any EDM music posts, flyers and related content.
What not to post: The page doesn’t specify, but nothing not related to EDM, right?
Favorite post: Tons of tracks and mixes are shared on this group page, but take a listen to some of the best remixes of 2016. Track list included.

 

 

Knowledgeable Producers / Q&A

Members: 13,000+ (closed group)
Who should join: People who want to share as much music production-related knowledge as possible.
What type of content should you expect: Mostly producing-related questions, suggestions, answers and threads.
Things you should post: Any questions or answers regarding music production.
What not to post: Do not post your song for feedback or promotion; no piracy talk, and no memes or trolling.
Favorite post: One group member started a thread encouraging fellow members to show off their home studios, and we were immediately intrigued.

 

 

EDM Culture World Wide

Members: 6,000+ (closed group)
Who should join: People who want to network within the EDM field.
What type of content should you expect: Event flyers, shared music, mixes, videos and contests.
Things you should post: Music promo exchange, mixes, tracks, and festival-related posts are also welcomed.
What not to post: No spam or non-music-related material.
Favorite post: One member posted about a fundraising campaign she started for the recent Ghost Ship fire victims. Let’s help support, fam.

 

 

I Raved in Los Angeles/SoCal in the 1990s

Who should join: Anyone who wants to share their favorite L.A./SoCal rave memories, throwing it all the way back to the ‘90s!
What type of content should you expect: Shared music, old and new event flyers, photos and videos that fall within the rave arena.
Things you should post: Pictures and videos of your EDM festival and club experiences from back in the day, as well music and flyers.
What not to post: It’s not specified on their page, but have common sense. Don’t be a troll.
Favorite post: This inspirational quote about what makes a truly great DJ. On point.
