The Enhanced Progressive sub-label of the mighty Enhanced stable is reserved for the tougher, more driving records from its mainroom electro-trance offerings, and US-based producer SCHALA returns with another euphoric thumper in the form of “Chalice.”

Opening on a particularly tightly produced collection of sharp grooves and techy-infused electro noise primed to deliver the requisite grind for a peak-time set, the melodic elements are woven in carefully among the mayhem. Swelling to full form during the breakdown, the euphoria is allowed to take center stage after the drop.

It’s the trademark Enhanced Progressive fusion of toughness and euphoria that’s on display. The Enhanced family sets the bar high in terms of quality productions, and “Chalice” hits all the right marks. SCHALA speaks on the lead cut of his Chalice/Alpha Spear two-tracker:

I definitely want to invoke empowerment in all of my listeners. If my music can impact anyone’s life in a positive light, I would be grateful and cherish that as a great achievement. The melody fits the mild-uplifting paradigm that is SCHALA and is very original. “Chalice” in particular was shown to all of my friends before it was finished, who typically only like pop/indie/rock, and they fell in love with it. If my music can bring people into the scene and affect them in a positive light, I am fully satisfied.

Available January 27 via Enhanced Progressive.
