Since 2016, Lee Foss’ signature sub-label Repopulate Mars has been moving from strength to strength with chart-topping releases by underground artists like Detlef, Patrick Topping, Justin Jay and others.

Now, following up his past releases on Hot Creations, Desolat and Moon Harbour, Cuartero steps up with his latest four-track EP, Up to the Roof. On the title cut, the Spaniard delivers a pulsing acid-house heater that’s sure to fill peak-time dancefloors.

Then, Frenchman Julian Jeweil flips the original into an intense techno frenzy with banging kicks and pensive buildups that reach a satisfying crescendo.

“The reason I chose to work on this remix is that I really liked the original track,” Jeweil tells Insomniac. “It was my first venture into tech house territory, and I really liked it! I enjoyed experimenting with new sounds and partitions, while adding my personal techno touch. My good friend and music partner POPOF was also aboard, so I felt even more comfortable working on Cuartero’s EP.”

Blast off below—and be sure to catch Foss and his ongoing Repopulate party whenever you’re in the City of Angels.

Available February 24 via Repopulate Mars.
