• EDC Orlando Headliner #TBT

Where exactly is “the happiest place on Earth”? Is it the magical land we refer to as Disney World, or is it somewhere electric daisies blossom in November? Most people would probably argue the former—after all, it is known as such by people all over the world—but if you asked us, we’d say EDC Orlando definitely tops the charts.

And believe it or not, we aren’t the only ones who seem to think so. This week, Insomniac is celebrating #TBT with three unique Headliners who gave us a taste of their reminisced joy. They were asked to send a photo that best describes their overall #EDC experience. Here’s what they had to share.

    Headliner: Sabrina
    Hometown: Lake Mary, FL
    EDC Orlando: 2013

What’s going on in this picture?
This is a picture of me and two of my best friends standing with the group of clown performers at EDC Orlando. They were walking around to make sure everyone was having a good time when we stopped them for a quick photo.

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
I think this picture is a great representation of how fun EDC really is. The colors, the people, and our giant smiles say it all. There’s always something to do or look at besides just listening to the music! I really like that Pasquale puts a lot of thought and effort into this event.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC Orlando experience?
This photo describes my overall experience because when I go to EDC each year, this is exactly what I expect to see: people dressed in whatever they want, doing whatever they want. And the best part is that nobody judges you for it. In my opinion, the crazier you look, the better! This event is where it all began for me. It’s all about being happy.

    Headliner: Nathan
    Hometown: Orlando, FL
    EDC Orlando: 2013

What’s going on in this picture?
EDC Orlando was unbelievably captivating, from the sets to the people to everything in between. In this photo, I’m standing with my friend Allie after I randomly found her strolling along under the electric sky. We actually met at this event.

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
I chose to share this one because my friends mean everything to me. Without them, I would have missed out on such an unforgettable adventure, and it’s crazy to think how far we’ve all come. To me, this photo represents new friendships made at EDC and how far those friendships can really go.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC Orlando experience?
This is the only photo I was able to take with my friends. I ended up losing everyone and spent EDC by myself, but it was still the best experience of my life. This photo is living proof that I saw them at least once. I wouldn’t take back a single second.

    Headliner: Daniel
    Hometown: Sanford, FL
    EDC Orlando: 2013

What’s going on in this picture?
This is most of my rave family in front of the main stage at EDC Orlando 2013. I say “most” because a few of us couldn’t make it to EDC that year. This is a special photo because we usually forget to take full group pictures when we go to raves. As soon as we step foot inside a music festival, we get straight to dancing and enjoying the show!

Why did you choose to share this one with us?
Ever since we graduated college, we’ve been spread out all over the state, with some of us in completely different time zones. These people right here are my best friends, and I know they will be in my life for years to come. We can’t always make it to the same events, but EDC is one time of the year when we can all reunite for a weekend of celebration. Sharing this photo reminds me of how lucky I am to have great friends like this in my life.

How does this picture best describe your overall EDC Orlando experience?
No matter what event we are at, my friends are at the core of having the most fantastic experience. At EDC, we feel like we are at home. It’s an escape from the world where we can enjoy the music we live for and appreciate the time we get to spend together. I’m grateful I have such an amazing group that’s bound together by our love for dance music.
