This Daft Punk LEGO Set COULD Be a Thing

Without a doubt, Daft Punk are among the most recognizable figures in electronic music. Their iconic robot personas are instantly recognizable, and their timeless music has inspired countless artists. They now have the chance to become immortalized as LEGO figurines via a Kickstarter-like campaign on the company’s Ideas site.

The proposed set would feature the robot rockers in their trademark helmets, holding guitars and possibly some analog gear. The fan who started the project, Autorazr, would also like to see LEGO create a simple stage setup and include some more gear to round out the set.

With Daft Punk’s heavy usage of science fiction themes in their video and film work, as well as their futuristic headgear, Autorazr says, “The style and tone of Daft Punk aligns perfectly with LEGO and would create an experience that people of all ages can enjoy.”

At the time of this writing, the campaign has a little over 140 days left to gain the required 10,000 supporters needed to qualify for the official LEGO Review Board and executive approval for production. Check out the LEGO Ideas site to learn more and support the project.
