As we get ready to knock on the door of 2016, we asked some of our favorite DJs to give us their top five tracks of the year. Dive into Keys N Krates’ essential selections below.

It’s been a whirlwind year for Keys N Krates. Following last year’s knockout Every Nite EP, the Canadian live electronic trio has released a stack of standout singles, from the trap-leaning “Save Me” featuring songstress Katy B, “I Know You,” and their latest drum & bass-flavored “U Already Know.”

The group, composed of keyboard wizard David Matisse, live drummer Adam Tune, and master turntablist Flo, embodies the perfect combination of hip-hop and electronic vibes. Expect their forthcoming Midnite Mass EP, out January 2016 on Dim Mak, to continue with their trusted blend of hyped-up live electronics.

Keys N Krates sum up their landmark year with their top five tracks of 2015, which traverse the worlds of hip-hop, trap, and psychedelic rock.

Tame Impala “Eventually”

We love this whole album in general, and this song definitely stands out in terms of making us feel some type of way. This is what a great pop song sounds like.

Drake “Know Yourself”

It’d be kinda crazy if we didn’t list this song as one of the best of year. The hook is now part of the vernacular of everyone under 40, and it’s probably helped to cement Toronto, our hometown, in everyone’s brains. Also, both beats are amazeballs and sound so dangerous.

Baauer “GoGo!”

This song is insane. Wish we made this. Fuck this guy. Just fuck this guy!

Travi$ Scott “Oh My Dis Side”

Diggin’ this revived trend of two fire beats to one song, which takes things back to Gang Starr tunes, like “Speak Ya Clout.” Allen Ritter and Frank Dukes—shout-out Frank, that’s the homie—brought two very amazing and interesting beats on this one. Travi$’s crazy vocal and ad-lib style really shine on this tune (“MAMAAA”). When we listen to this song, it makes us feel good about what’s happening in rap music right now.

Jamie xx ft. Young Thug, Popcaan “I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times)”

This track just has summer vibezzzzz all over. Heard this everywhere we went!
