Marco Balcazar and Gabriel Sordo met many years ago, growing up in Guadalajara, Mexico. After having separate careers as DJs and producers, they decided to join forces as Balcazar & Sordo. Since the duo’s inception only three years ago, they have released originals and remixes on renowned labels including No.19 Music, Culprit, Leftroom, Supernature, and Get Physical Music. 

Together the pair create a unique sound that is evident in the productions and DJ sets. Their latest track, a collaboration with Dance Spirit & Discern featuring Shawni, “Calling for You” was released on the L.A imprint Culprit and was featured several times on Pete Tong’s “Future Stars” on BBC Radio 1.

In November 2013, the duo was featured on an episode of Boiler Room, Mexico City. In addition to playing renowned festivals like BPM Festival, WMC and Sonar, Balcazar & Sordo have also become a regular act on Audiofly’s “Flying Circus” parties.
